Melba Louise Taylor

Melba Louise Taylor, 98, of Lincoln, CA, passed peacefully on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at her home. She was born March 25, 1925 in Alma to the late Cathy and Geneva (Schroder) Carter. Known for her dedication to her Lord Jesus, and great love for her family and friends, Melba will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Melba’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy and encouragement she brought to others lives, not the sadness of her passing.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Taylor; and sons, Eugene and Roy Gene Taylor.

She is survived by a son, Bill Taylor (Missy) of Lincoln, CA; two sisters, Bessie Andrews of Kibler, and Margaret Carter of Fort Smith; a brother, Bill Carter of Alma; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Love Cemetery in the Dean Springs Community, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
