Jerry Dean Holmes

Jerry Dean Holmes, 76, of Van Buren, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022 in Fort Smith. He was born July 25, 1946 in Van Buren to the late Dick and Reba (Young) Holmes. He was retired from Whirlpool, and served with the National Guard. He was a blacksmith and a beekeeper.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Holmes.

He is survived by a daughter, Angela Wroten and husband Steve of Greenwood; a son, Brad Holmes and wife Serena of Van Buren; two sisters, Sarah Yancey of Van Buren, and Cindy Mabry of Pocola; three brothers, J.W. Holmes of Fort Smith, Raymond Holmes of Cornelius, OR, and Teddy Holmes of Van Buren; and six grandchildren, Ethan Holmes, Spencer Holmes, Blake Holmes, Tate Wroten, Ace Wroten, and Vincent Wroten.

A Celebration of Life will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2022 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel to celebrate the lives of both Jerry and Jackie, who passed in January 2021. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
