Debra Blankenship, 63, of Alma, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022 in Fort Smith. She was born April 26, 1959 in Liberal, KS to the late Francis and Wanda (Ryan) Wigner. She had worked for CV’s in Alma.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Dean Blankenship; two brothers, Steve Wigner and John Husband; and a step-grandson, Mason.
She is survived by four sons, Jason Blankenship of Alma, Jirad Blankenship and wife Whitney of Mountainburg, Jeff Blankenship and wife Crystal of Van Buren, and Jamie Blankenship and wife Caitlyn of Alma; a stepdaughter, Rachel Mercer and husband Jason of Wichita, KS; a sister, Anita Wigner of Osage City, KS; two brothers, Frank Wigner of Seattle, and Bob Husband of Andale, KS; six grandchildren, Zane, Daxton, Madison, Luke, Bryson, and Kylie; two step-grandchildren, Ryan and Doug; and three step-great-grandchildren.
Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR. There are no services scheduled at this time.
