Charles “C.E.” Nichols, 91, of Van Buren, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 in Fort Smith. He was born May 25, 1924 in Redland, OK to the late David and Drucie Bell Nichols. He was a retired taxidermist for Disney Studios in Burbank, CA, and served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Gwen of the home; two sons, Phillip Nichols of Ozark, and David Nichols of Short, OK; a sister, Clara Price of Fort Smith; four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 1, 2016 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Zack Jordan, Bob Ebarb, Ryan Nichols, and Jared Nichols.
The family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren.
