He worked as a union carpenter for 30 years and was a member of Brethren in Christ Church and the Mennonite Disaster Relief Organization. His hobbies were farming and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Lillian Heise, daughters Lois Martin and Laura Mills, sons Daniel, William and David Heise, sisters Luella Lofthouse, Marjorie Heise and brother Arthur Heise.He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Curtis Heise and his parents William and Ida Heise.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Stone Funeral Home, 355 E. 9th Street, Upland, California. Services will be held Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Brethren in Christ Church, 945 W. Arrow Highway, Upland, California. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park in Ontario, California.
