Aaron was born July 3,1983 in Orange, California to his loving parents, Ralph and Deborah Cornell. Aaron was a member of the Gifted and Talented Education Program and the Academic Achievement Society. With this group he traveled to Australia at the age of 14. A valedictorian graduate of Damian High School in 2001, Aaron was a gifted student athlete, excelling in advanced courses and maintaining membership in the National Honor Society while also shining in French Club and music. In 2005, Aaron graduated from University of California, San Diego and later received a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Aaron travelled through Asia for several months after completing two years teaching English at a Private South Korean Academy. While in Korea, Aaron was a certified scuba diver and considered teaching scuba divers at one time. After returning home Aaron decided to remain in the states and pursue a license as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Aaron was employed by San Bernardino County Schools and worked from the Desert Mountain Children’s Center.
Aaron had a passion for learning, traveling, the wilderness, music, his family, and sports. He was an Eagle Scout earning many achievements with outdoor activities. He especially enjoyed traveling and spending time outdoors, including camping, fishing, and hiking with family and friends. Aaron loved to create his own musical pieces and was an accomplished piano player. Aaron was a sensitive caring man, armed with an intellectual curiosity. He will be remembered for his kind and compassionate spirit, his level head in a crisis, and his playfulness.
He is survived by his young son: Carter Cornell, his parents: Ralph Cornell and Deborah Cornell; his brother: Jeremy Cornell; his nephews: Gavyn Cornell, Teage Cornell, and many family members and friends who love him. Aaron will be forever remembered as a wonderful son, a loving dad, taken too soon and forever in our hearts.
Family and friends are invited to say goodbye at a viewing on August 29th at Stone Funeral Home 355 East 9th Street Upland, CA 91786 from 1pm to 4pm. Aaron will be honored in a celebration of life at Hillside Community Church, 5354 Haven Ave. Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91737 at a time and date to be determined.
