CMSgt. Ursel Thomas Cline died on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the age of 70 years. He was born on March 16, 1943 in Niles, Ohio to Clyde Cline and Ida (Jennings) Cline. CMSgt. Ursel was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William “David” Cline, Clyde “Jr.” Cline and George Cline; survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Laeard Cline; daughters, Navarat “Mam” Hongtong, Patty Cline and Deborah Bjorgo; sisters, Virgina Campbell, Shirley Tillery and Frances Boggs; and grandchildren, Jarred Deptawa, Matthew Deptawa, Lelavadee “Meiw” Hongtong, Natvadee “Mye” Hongtong, Isabel Saldana and William Bjorgo. Cline served and retired from the United States Air Force. He earned several awards and decorations during this service; a Short Tour Ribbon with three oak leaf clusters, Vietnam service Medal with ten Bronze Service Stars, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, AF Good Conduct medal with six Oak Leaf Clusters, AF Organizational Excellence Award with one Oak Leaf Cluster, AF Outstanding Unit Award with Valor and seven Oak Leaf Clusters, Distinguished-Presidential Unit Citation, AF Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Meritorious Service Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters. A private service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
