Richard J. Legere Sr. aged 77, originally of Jay, Maine passed away peacefully in San Antonio, Texas on November 24th, 2015. Richard was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. His humor and constant efforts to make everyone he met smile will be missed. He was born on February 1, 1938 in Jay (Chisholm) Maine to Albany and Madeline Legere, both of whom have preceded him in death. He is also predeceased by his wife of 54 years Doris J (Young) Legere, one brother and one sister. He is survived by his children Richard Legere Jr. (Mary), Lonnie Legere (Patricia), Diane Bolding (Robert), and John Legere (Tina); and eight grandchildren, Bryan, Jacob, Richard III, Joseph, Tyler, Daneen, Kamyrn, Dylan, seven siblings and numerous friends. Services will be at St. Ann's Catholic Church in La Vernia, Texas on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 11:00am with interment following at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to research for dementia, ALS or a charity close to your heart.
