Neal Solomon was born on April 8, 1930 in New York City to Pauline and Louis Solomon. He grew up in New York and joined the Air Force in 1951. He retired after serving 27 years in the Air Force. Neal was a decorated master navigator in Vietnam.
When he was stationed in Japan, he met his first wife Miyoko (OBM). They were married until her passing in 1989. They raised two children, Steven and Cindy. The family moved several times during his military career and settled in San Antonio, where he retired. Neal loved to travel and explore new places. The family vacationed in different cities throughout the world. After Miyoko's passing, he met and married Rose Junkman (OBM). Neal and Rose were married until her passing. He continued his love of travel by taking Rose on vacations throughout Europe and Asia. Neal wanted his family to understand and appreciate other cultures. Neal is survived by his children Steven (Bel) Solomon, and Cindy Solomon, and his grandchildren, Shannon (Jack) Bettencourt and Neal Solomon.
