He was born to the late Maurice Cashman Kelly Jr and Maxine Champion at 5:45pm on October 9, 1935. Jim graduated in 1954 from Classen High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is survived by Nita, his loving wife of 57 years.
Jim held several careers throughout his life including radio broadcasting, eight years in the National Guard, a land draftsman for Humble Oil, a district representative for Pontiac Motors and several general manager positions in the automotive service industry.
He is survived by five children James Victor and Jenalee Kelly of Midland, Texas; Keri Kelly of Austin, Texas; Kirk and Andrea Kelly of McQueeney, Texas; Amy and Ronny Bigham of Cibolo, Texas; and Jason J. and Jennifer Kelly of Helotes, Texas. Jim also is survived by fourteen grandchildren Khris and Stephanie Kelly, Kaci Kelly, Tima and Ryan Brown, Kheira and Evan Westphal, Samantha Bigham, Nathan Kelly, Kenny Bigham, Gwendolyn Kelly, Madeleine Kelly, Julianna Bigham, Gavin Kelly, Max Bigham, Jackson Bigham and Sawyer Kelly. He also has three great-grandchildren, Madison Kelly, Connor Kelly and Benjamin Brown.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk, Universal City, Texas 78148.
