Harold was a 22 Year Army veteran who served in Vietnam twice. And one tour in Korea. He wore his Vietnam vet hat everyday to show the love he had for his country and the pride he had in serving. He was devoted to his family and his country. A loving husband of 59 years and the best father anyone could ask for. He had the biggest heart and would make sure everyone had what they needed and made sure nobody would ever do without. He loved his children, grandchildren, and his great grandchildren so much! No matter how busy he got he always made time for his family, who came first no matter what. We are going to miss him so much! We are grateful for the wonderful memories we have of him. He may be gone but never forgotten.
He is survived by his Loving wife Jo Ann Welch, daughters Sharon Welch Smith and Donna Welch. And his grandchildren Colton Smith, Emily smith, Lauren Trujillo, Alan and Dylan Roberts. Along with his great grandchildren Brayden and Camilla, His brothers Robert, James and Steve Welch, sister Brenda Blinn, and everyone who was lucky enough to be part of his life.
A memorial service for Harold will be held Monday, December 16, at 7pm at Refuge Church of San Antonio, 8101 Eagle Crest Blvd, Windcrest, TX 78239. A committal service with full military honors will be held on Friday, December 20, at 1:45pm at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery Shelter #4.
