MSgt. Edward W. Townsend, U.S. Air Force, Retired, age 62 passed away April 1, 2011. He was born August 17, 1948 in Alliance, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward W. Townsend, Sr. Survivors include his daughter, Tamara Blakney; mother, Ruth Mary Eckhardt; sisters, Sue Townsend and Jan Townsend; grandsons, Evan William Blakney and Colton Thomas Blakney; former spouse, Patti Scott; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Graveside services and interment will be Monday, April 11, 2011 at 9:45 A.M. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors.
