Dale was born in Salisbury, Maryland, on March 16th 1959 to Mary Sullivan and Dale Franklin Williams Sr. He served in the National Guard in 1978 and later as an Army Motor Transport Operator. His dedication led him to the 24th Transportation Company out of Fort Riley, Kansas, where he bravely served during operation Desert Storm. Achieving the rank of Sergeant, Dale was honorably discharged in 1991.
Beyond his military service, Dale found joy at the shooting range, spending time with family and had a remarkable ability to turn strangers into friends. Known as the ultimate jokester and master of "bad-papa" jokes, he had a gift for making people laugh. Dale, a true Christian, found solace at Lincoln Berean Church, attending faithfully every Sunday. Dale’s memory lives on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing this kind, compassionate, and fun-loving soul.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mary, step-father Charles, brother-in-law Jim, mother-in-law Esther and father-in-law Harold.
He leaves behind to honor his legacy: His loving wife of 44 years Brenda (Sothan) Williams, two children: Dale Williams, III and Jennifer (Roger) Williams-Paul, grandkids: Brelee, Samantha, Ana and Avery, siblings: John (Michelle) Sullivan, JoAnn (Mark) Gabriel, Sherri (Brett) Larsen, and Darlene Shaw, sister-in-laws: Pamela (Norm) Robbins, Patricia Orr, Debra (Ken) Burns, Linda (Tim) Bates, Lisa (Jerry) Rotschafer, and Laura (Kelly) Rader, and his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
