I met Frank about twenty-five years ago, when me and my family moved onto Chapman Street. I remember he came over and introduced himself as “Frank,” he told me about his mother, his sister Angie, and his younger brother Jerome, who he was very proud of  at the time he was a Newark Police Officer. It was until many years later, that I learned Frank name was actually “Robert.” Wherever I needed some work around the house I could always count on Frank to be there for me, I just could not get him to be on time nevertheless he would eventually show up.  But I understood he had prior obligations at the Pharmacy, where he worked doing odd jobs for the Pharmacist. I once saw Frank way down on 18th Avenue past McDonalds, so I stop my car and went out to talk to him to see if he needed a ride home. He declined the ride but I noticed during that brief moment I was with him so many people knew his name. “Frank” hey man how you doing?  There was genuine love for this brother. This was not the only time I experience this with him, it seem to happen all the time, people knew Frank everywhere. I like to read and sometimes I like to know the origin of words; the etymology of words. Well here is what “Frank” means: c. 1300, sincere, genuine, open, gracious, generous; worthy, noble, illustrious". One of my sons once asked me if it is important to know someone’s name? I told him yes it is, well we were both right; because knowing Frank, which was not actually his name, yet it was made all sense in the world. I’m going to missed my brother from another mother. May Yah, give you your well-deserved rest and I hope to see you in the first resurrection.
