Jorge Luis Serrano

Jorge Luis Serrano, age 56, passed away Friday, March 29, 2019. He was born on August 9th, 1962 in Newark, New Jersey to Gloria & Angel Serrano. Jorge worked as a forklift and hilo driver for many years until he sustained injuries at work. He spent the last 11 years raising/caring for many of his grandchildren. Jorge loved taking his grandkids to the park, the store, and picking them up from school everyday. Jorge was married in 1980 to his high school sweetheart and had 6 children 3 boys and 3 girls. He did everything he could for his children and taught them to be strong, independent, hard working, loving people who value family above all else. He was funny, loud, sarcastic and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Jorge was known for his wild personality and hilarious catch phrases. Jorge was preceded in death by his son Jesus Serrano. He is survived by his 5 children, Janet Esther Cardona, Jorje Luis Serrano Jr, Rosanna Bruscianelli, Luis Jovanni Serrano and Melissa Bonet, 15 grandchildren, 1 older brother, 4 younger sisters and many nieces and nephews. His family will be gathering this summer for a celebration of life in his honor.
