Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she and her husband William Herman owned and operated the Vilan Bakery in the Elmora section of Elizabeth, NJ, for many years before moving to Clark, where they lived for more than 45 years.
She worked at Esso Research & Engineering in Bayway, NJ after she graduated from Linden High School. She then went on to work for Olsten Temporary Services, and RCA. She retired from General Electric. She was a member of SS Peter & Paul Russian Orthodox Church in Elizabeth, NJ and St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Euless, TX.
Anne is the widow of William V. Herman, and is survived by her daughter Karen Steffaro and her husband Robert of Irving, TX; and her son William Herman and his wife Nancy (Kushnerick) of Rochester, MI, and two granddaughters, Alexandra of Austin, TX and Julia of Lake Placid, NY.
Visitation will be at The McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ 07083, on Sunday, March 27th from 2 to 5 p.m. with a Parastas at 4 p.m.
Services will be at SS. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, Elizabeth on Monday, March 28th at 10 a.m. with entombment to follow in Graceland Memorial, Kenilworth.
A memorial service will be held at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church on April 15th at 5:30 p.m.
