Andrew Simon Jr.

Andrew Simon, Jr., 81 formerly of Union, now of Jackson, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 in Neptune, NJ. Born in Chicago, IL, Andrew resided in Union for 18 years prior to moving to Central Florida and Jackson 2 years ago. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. Andrew worked as the Electrical Supervisor for MGM Studios in Los Angeles for many years, and later held the same position for the NYSE before his retirement. He was an avid golfer and member of the Colonia Country Club, as well as the past president of the NUCDF. Andrew was also very proud of his heritage as an Assyrian-American.

Andrew was predeceased by his dear son, Andrew (Sonny Boy), and his sisters Mary Jane McCormick and Martha Joseph. He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Patricia (Tish), his daughters Erica Simon (Matt Faatz) and Renee Simon. He also leaves behind his grandsons Daniel, Jacob, Drew, and Dean, his brother John Simon (Pat), sister-in-law Mary Jane Tabbia and her husband Larry, as well as his nieces Heather and Sarah Tabbia, great-niece Bella, and loving cousins.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 2-6 PM at the McCracken Funeral Home 1500 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 11AM, with entombment to follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. In lieu of flowers, donations in Andrew’s name may be made to the NUCDF 75 S. Grand Ave., Pasadena, CA 91105.
