Vincenza M Bitetto

Vincenza M Bitetto, age 94, of Union City, New Jersey passed away on Thursday February 21, 2019. Vincenza was born September 8, 1924 in Fairview, NJ and lived in Keyport and Jersey City before settling in Union City. She had 1 sister and 2 brothers. She came from a large family of many aunts, uncles and cousins.

In 1947, while working in a defense factory in Union City , she met her husband, marring in 1948. They were happily married for 56 years, living in the same house where they raised their 3 children. She was a fabulous wife and wonderful mother, a terrific grandmother and friend. She liked to swim, dance, cook and bake. She loved playing board games and was a terrific card player along with being a great Yankee fan. She took pleasure in opening her home to celebrate holidays with family and friends. Vincenza was a very active member of Sts. Joseph and Michael parish serving as an usher, Eucharistic minister and president of the St. Anne and Sacred Heart Ladies Clubs. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, vacationing to Florida, Washington D.C., Tennessee, Louisiana, Alaska, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada, Italy and Greece. She was a "One of a kind" lady who will be missed by all.

A visitation for Vincenza will be held Monday, February 25, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00PM to 9:00PM at Leber Funeral Home, 2000 Kennedy Blvd, Union City, NJ 07087. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Sts. Joseph and Michael Church, 14th Steet & Central Ave, Union City, NJ 07087. A committal service will occur Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, U.S. Highway 1 North, Woodbridge, NJ 07095.
