In 1968, he left the island with his beloved wife, Agustina and their first-born daughter, Lisette. They settled in Union City, NJ. A few years later, their second daughter, Janine was born. “Chucho” was beloved by all with whom he worked and was a “jack of all trades.” He was an electrician, handyman, salesman, manager, foreman, comedian, and philosopher. He was married for over 57 years to his beloved “Justi” and was a doting father and grandfather to their daughters and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife; daughters; grandchildren; son-in-law; nieces; nephews; and numerous friends. He will be remembered as a loving family man; a gracious host to the numerous people he and his wife hosted for holidays; and for his wise sayings. He was loving, wise, funny, and generous.
Memorial mass will be held on Monday, November 14th at 11:00 a.m. at SS. Joseph & Michael Roman Catholic Church 1314 Central Avenue, Union City, NJ 07087. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “Lo que esta ‘para ti, nadie te lo quita.” [“What’s meant for you cannot be taken by anyone.”]
