Jimmy was born in Hoboken on July 4, 1967 to Elizabeth and James. He is survived by his loving sisters Lori Dalton Massie ( Charles), Stacy Bodtmann (Mike), and his brother Robert( Cordis). Jimmy is also survived by his cherished niece and nephews, Lily Grace, Michael ( Stacy) and Nicholas ( Victoria) and his great nephew Nicholas Andrew, along with many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
After a brief career in Aviation, Jimmy’s passion for cooking lead him to becoming a Sous Chef at his beloved Wee Bern Country Club in Darian CT, where he worked for many years.
With Jimmy’s love for all genres of music, especially Springsteen often lead him to Asbury Park and the Stone Pony where he would hope to be at a concert where the BOSS would surprise everyone with an impromptu visit!
Jimmy loved his LA Rams, NY Mets and playing golf. In his later years he looked forward to watching all the golf tournaments on TV, especially the Masters.
Jimmy, like Buffet enjoyed the peacefulness of the beach, great music and throwing back some beer!
We will miss our conversations with you discussing the word of the day, music, food, Shakespeare and politics.
A visitation for James will be held Sunday, July 9, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a funeral blessing from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM.
