Vonda M. Miller, 70, of Union City, MI passed away Saturday April 14, 2012 at the Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence in Battle Creek. She was born September 10, 1941 in Winslow, IN. On September 12, 1959 she married Terry G. Miller in Owosso, MI. He survives.
She graduated from Union City High School in 1983. She worked as a waitress at Bill Knapp’s in Battle Creek for 22 years.
Vonda was a member of the Athens VFW Auxiliary Post 5319. She was the cofounder of the VFW Junior Girl Unit. She worked for the Binder Park Zoo in the Gift Shop for nine years, loved to garage sale and was a loving mother and grandmother. She and her husband wintered in Texas for many years.
She is survived by her husband Terry, one son Terry (Kreigh) (Sara) Miller of Union City, one daughter Kris (Jerry) Motz of Athens. 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 4 sisters, Nina Scott of Saginaw, MI, Mona Lowe of Battle Creek, Donna Goodrum of Angleton, TX and Betty Chapmen of Albion.
Vonda was predeceased by her parents, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
Visitation will be Tuesday April 17, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Putnam Funeral Home in Union City. Services will be Wednesday April 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM with one hour of visitation prior to the service at Putnam Funeral Home in Union City, MI. Pastor David Anderson will officiate. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Union City.
