He was born on June 30, 1938 in New Haven, CT to the late Harry and Yvonne (LaFrance) Boudreau. In October 1961 he married Carmella Panaroni. They raised their family in the Branford and Guilford area before moving to Uncasville in his semi-retirement.
Bob lived his life simply. He loved his family and his friends. He grew up in Guilford, CT. He always had a good time where ever he went. He loved country music and grew up with square dancing whenever he got the chance. Bob and his wife Carmella loved to travel and take cruises. They even one a lottery once!
He worked very hard all of his life. He was in the National Guard for a short time, worked for the State of Conn. and also worked for a logging company driving trucks. Most of his life was spent as a meat cutter. He worked for Forte's in Branford for many years. He also worked for Ferrars in New Haven before entering Semi-retirement. He finished out his long career at Big Y in Norwich where he made many good friends.
There were two loves in his life. His grandchildren. He never missed a soccer game, golf match or dance recital. He was very proud of Katelyn and Edward and was always bragging to anyone who would listen what an incredible dancer his granddaughter is and how his grandson is better at golf than Tiger Woods. He would drive them to and from practices and attend many an award ceremony.
Bob loved to fish, he would spend hours fishing on his boat or sitting in his back yard with his best friend Reggie. If he wasn't fishing or working he was playing his favorite slot machines at Mohegan Sun. In recent years he and his cousin Irene made many trips to Maine to reconnect and visit with Family.
He departed this life the way he lived it-simply, peacefully at home with his family. His spirit lives on in his children and grandchildren, but the man, the friend, the dad, the brother and the granddad will be missed.
Robert is survived by his son; Robert Boudreau Jr., of Playa Del Ray, CA, daughters; Rebecca Zubritsky and her husband Edward of Uncasville, and Jennifer Boudreau and her family in Albany, TX, two sisters; Jackie Smith of E.
