Brett was a son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was happily awaiting becoming an uncle. If you were blessed to know Brett, you couldn't help but to love him. His kindness, quick sense of humor, and loving nature were just some of the many wonderful qualities that he possessed.
Brett was just nine years old when his liver started to fail. He became very ill, as he waited for a liver transplant. He was gifted his new liver at the age of fifteen. Despite all of his health struggles; he never let that define him. No matter how hard things got; he always faced each obstacle with grace and dignity.
Brett loved to be with his family. He was a great cook, and enjoyed playing video games with his friends. He loved spending time playing Pokemon Go. He found joy in collecting Pokemon cards, and decorative knives. Brett also loved animals. He especially loved cats and reptiles. Brett was always up for a new adventure, fishing, listening to music, and spending time with his friends and family. He was just like his Mom in that he was always caring for those in need.
Brett leaves behind his Mom, Jeanne Roark Tillinghast of North Stonington, CT. His Dad, Robert Tillinghast Jr. and his significant other Kristin McEvoy of Norwich, CT. His Sister, Brittany Tillinghast and his niece to be of North Stonington, CT and Hailey McEvoy of Norwich, CT. Brett also leaves behind his Grandparents, Anne and Ralph Roark of North Stonington, and Doris Tillinghast of Jewett City, CT. His Uncle Charles Roark and Aunt Jessica Hurlburt Roark of Uncasville, CT. Aunt Tammy Baez, and Uncle Luis Baez of Utah. Cousins Nicole Ramirez, Mark Baker, Adeline Roark, and Mason Roark. As well as many more Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and extended family and friends.
He is predeceased by his Grandfather Robert Tillinghast Sr.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at 12:00 p.m at The First Baptist Church of North Stonington located at 793 Pendleton Hill Road North Stonington, CT.
