Growing up Zac had many houses but a few that he called home. Attending Rusk and Whitehouse schools he later graduated from Ouachita Arkansas Job Corp where he earned his GED.
Zac began his working career in the service industry where he spent over 15 years with “Sharky’s”, a local bar that brought people together from all walks of life. Here he created friendships that turned into family to last a lifetime.
After his time in the service industry Zac continued his education and graduated from Kilgore Junior College as a Diesel Mechanic. This was a big accomplishment, and he was incredibly proud of his last 10 years working in oilfield as diesel mechanic.
Zac has been described as a man with a natural charisma. He could draw people in and entertain a crowd. Wherever he was he created endless memories and crazy stories were sure to follow. Everyone had a Zac story. He had the ability to p_ss you off and make you fall in love all at the same time. That was Zac. People knew he would give them the shirt off his back or his couch to anyone needing a place to stay. He hated liars and thieves almost as much as he hated the Dallas Cowboys. “ALMOST”. He enjoyed the outdoors and his love for guns and being out in the woods was his most peaceful escape.
If you knew Zac, you would quickly learn about his love of “Pittsburgh Steelers”. His admiration for the Steelers ran deep and he shared this passion with both of his sons, Zane and Tres. His sons were his greatest joy, and source of pride in his life. You would often find them sharing stats or discussing football strategy over a bucket of wings at a local restaurant. Zac loved this time together. He was a fierce protector and provider for his sons. He believed that his boys should know how to navigate this world through hard work and never backing down. Zac worked hard all his life and he shared this trait with both of his sons. It is this legacy that will live on through his youngest son, Tres.
Zachariah Zane Taylor is survived by his son, Tres Taylor; mother, Karen Woodward and her husband Woody; brothers Nathan Taylor and his wife, Kerri and John Stafford; sister Carrie Kerby and many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews. He will also be greatly missed by his girlfriend Dana Barton and his Blue Lacy puppy Zero.
Zachariah was preceded in death by his beloved oldest son Zane - Zachariah Zane Taylor II.
