Scott was a remarkable individual with a thirst for knowledge. He possessed a vast amount of intelligence and was well-versed in various subjects, even the most obscure. His passion for history was nurtured by his Aunt Alverine, a history teacher whom he affectionately called "Auntie," and he developed a keen interest in warfare and battles. Scott's generosity knew no bounds, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Music held a special place in Scott's heart, and he showcased his talent as a DJ at numerous dances, parties, and events during his teenage and young adult years. However, it was fishing that was truly his passion. He discovered his love for fishing at a young age while spending time with his father, and his skills flourished during his time in Pensacola, Florida. As the saying goes, for Scott, a bad day fishing was still better than a good day doing anything else.
Scott is survived by his mother, Bonnie McWhorter; sister, Julie Hardie (John); daughter, Krystle Lindhjem (Rune); four beloved grandchildren, Aleksander, Kristoffer, Heidi, and Benjamin; much loved nephews Austin McWhorter, and Jack and James Hardie; and numerous cousins and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, James Olan McWhorter; his sister, Karen Leigh McWhorter; and his wife, Jettie Gage McWhorter.
A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bullard 1st Ward, Scott found solace and strength in his faith and had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ as his Savior.
