Mary Opal Tidmore

Services for Mary Opal Tidmore, 80, of Tyler will be 10:00AM Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the Dean Baptist Church with Bro David Wallace and Bro. Leroy Gravitt officiating under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home. Burial is at Dean Cemetery.

Mrs. Tidmore passed away on Monday, November 15, 2010 in Chandler.

She was born September 26, 1930 in Alabama to the late Thomas Wesley and Essie Mae Maddox Gravitt. She was a member of Dean Baptist Church and was president of the Sonshine Sunday school class. She was retired after 20 years of service with Tyler Independent School District. She had lived in Tyler since 1951.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Ronald Wayne Tidmore.

She is survived husband George Tidmore of Tyler; son, Miachel N. Tidmore of Mesquite; brothers: Leroy Gravitt and wife Sue of Tyler, Ray Gravitt and wife Leslie of Atlanta, GA, Bobby Gravitt and wife Betty of Atlanta, GA, Gerald Gravitt and wife Margie of Owentown; sisters, Barbara Gentry and husband Eddie of Lindale, Louise Eubanks and husband James of Jacksonville, Sue Eubanks and husband Bobby of Bullard.

Pallbearers are Lemie Jones, Carl McWilliams, Bobby Eubanks, Gurley Howell, Richard Dickerson and Kris Tidmore.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
