John Michael "Mike" Purtle, 48, of Tyler, went to be with the Lord on May 18, 2018.
He was born in Jacksonville, Texas on May 22, 1969. He graduated from Lincoln Tech in Arlington Texas. He worked in the past as a mechanic, welder, tow truck driver and currently building swimming pools for Gunnite.
He was preceded in death by his father Milton L. Purtle; sister Mary Alexander; and brother Steven L. Purtle.
Survivors include: his daughter Desiree Purtle; and grandson Brekken Edwards; son Spencer Purtle; mother Marcelina Purtle; sisters LaDonna Mendez (Gustavo), Karen Purtle, and Felicia Myrick (Steven); and numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home (Hwy 64 W) on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.
