Jerome Jones Sr.

A funeral service for Jerome Jones Sr. will be held at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, December 29, 2018, officiated by Pastor Rick Sawyer. Visitation will begin at 10 am with a Graveside service at 12 pm.

Jerome was born September 21, 1969 in St. Louis, MO to Jessie B. and Martha Ann Redmond Jones. He passed away in Tyler on December 15, 2018. His memories will forever linger in our hearts as we will cherish those memories.

His legacy will continue in the lives of his loving and dedicated wife, Barbara Cox Jones of Tyler; his children, Brittany Kennedy of Durham, MS, Jerome Jones Jr. aka. “Jaye”, and his stepdaughter Shardae Powell both of Tyler; three grandsons, Jalen, Joshua, and Jacob Kennedy of Durant, MS; father, Jessie B. Jones of Greenwood, MS; stepfather, Kenneth Medford of Tyler; mother in law, Cozetta Cox of Marshall; sister, Beatrice Lindsey (Dewayne) of Tyler; brothers, Henry Jones (Magdalene) of Tyler and Jessie B. Jones (Lisa) of Greenwood, MS; eight stepsisters and brothers; nephews, Martavuis Jones (Trashanna) of Pittsburg, Joseph Jones of Shreveport, LA, Jessie Jones II of Greenwood, MS, Quincy Jones of Tyler, and Tommie Keithley of Greenwood, MS; nieces, Ebony Jones of New Orleans, LA, Ursula Jones of Tyler and Jessica Jones of Greenwood, MS; two great-nieces; four great-nephews; two special aunts, Elnora Jones and Ruthie Scurlock of Greenwood, MS; two godmothers, Johnnie B. White of New Orleans, LA and Sharlynn Calloway of Tyler; and a best friend, Keith Lashun Green of Joliet,IL and hosts of other relatives and friends.
