James William Blanton, age 83, of Tyler, Texas passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024. James was born in Telephone, Texas.

James is survived by his son Terry Blanton; his son Jason Blanton and wife Gabriela; his son Randy Blanton and wife Sarah; and his daughter Kerri Chapman; his granddaughter Courtney Blanton, his grandson Max Blanton, his grandson Tommy Chapman, his granddaughter Leah Crawford, his great granddaughter Karly Alexander, his great granddaughter Destiny Charping, his great granddaughter Deziray Charping, his great granddaughter Loralei Privett and his great grandson Eli Privett. Mr Blanton was owner and operator of "Blanton's Meat Company."

James was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Blanton; his son Scott Blanton; his grandson Chad Alexander, 2 Brothers and 1 Sister

Survived by Several nieces and nephews

A visitation for James will be held Friday, August 23, 2024 at 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Services will be performed by Gary Schacher.
