A celebration of the Life for Hettie Mozelle Brown, age 95 yrs, Tyler, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 15, 2017. Services will be held at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at 10:00 A.M. with visitation and a graveside service following at 11:00 A.M with Gaylon Seagler and
J. D. Osborn officiating.
Honorary Pallbearers are grandsons: David Flynn, Brian Daughtry, Blake Garner, Brad Thompson, Craig Bostick, and Carl Harding.
Mrs. Brown was born to the late Bennie Roy Richardson and Zemley Blalock Richardson on October 15, 1921. Mrs. Brown married the love of her life, the late Henry Louis Brown, on March 19, 1942 in Longview, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Brown were married for 63 years. She was a devoted Christian at West Erwin Church of Christ, Tyler, Texas, and Alpine Church of Christ in Longview, Texas. She had a love for all sports and was self-employed for approximately 53yrs. She will be remembered for her belief in Christ and her devoted love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always demonstrating her love for others through her “small book group” made up of ladies in her neighborhood; and her willingness to serve others.
Survivors include son and daughter in-law: Ronnie and Susan Brown of Tyler, Texas; Daughters and Son-in-laws are Gloria and the late David Daughtry of Chandler, Texas; and Bettie and Jack Thompson of Flint, Texas.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Baylee and David Flynn; Brian and Becky Daughtry, Amy and Blake Garner, Jennifer and Craig Bostick, Jodie and Carl Harding, and Brad and Phavy Thompson. Great-Grandchildren include: Brilee and Noah Daughtry, Andrew and Sydney Garner, Grant and Shelby Bostick, Stone, Landon, and Ainsley Harding, and Taylor and Tyson Thompson.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to West Erwin Church of Christ or Heart to Heart Hospice.
