Glen Wayne Griffin, 72, of Whitehouse, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021. Graveside services for Glen will be Friday, January 7, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the Whitehouse Cemetery with Bro. Lester Foreman officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Lloyd James Funeral Home in Tyler from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Glen was born January 4, 1949 in Tyler. “Griff”, as he was known around Whitehouse, lived in the area his entire life. He was the owner of Glen’s Automotive for over 40 years and was regarded by his customers as an honest and excellent mechanic. Glen was a member of Gateway Baptist Church in Whitehouse and the Lonestar Antique Tractor Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Weldon and Virginia Griffin and brother-in-law, Don (Germ) Whitesides. Glen is survived by his wife of 43 years, Debbie Griffin; daughter, Traci Akin and husband, Nick of Burleson and grandson, Colton Akin; two sisters, Diane Whitesides and Donna and Gregg Fairbank; several nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives and friends.
