Funeral Services for George S. Caldwell, age 98, of Tyler will be 2:00PM Tuesday at the 1st Assembly of God Church in Tyler with Bro. Randall McDonald officiating with burial in Tyler Memorial Park. Mr. Caldwell was born on March 29, 1915 in Oak Grove to Jim W. and Dovie Myrtle Justice Caldwell and passed away on November 28, 2013 in Tyler. Living in Tyler most of his life, Mr. Caldwell served in the U S Army during WWII, was a Salesman for Berry Cigar & Candy for many years and a member of 1st Assembly of God in Tyler. Survivors Include Children: George E. Caldwell & Wife: Linda of Holly Lake Ranch, Jeanette Sloan of Arp, Robert L. Caldwell & Wife: Barbara of Holly Lake Ranch & Frances Wells & Husband Timothy of Tyler, 12 Grandchildren, 22 Great grandchildren, 4 Great great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews, Brothers: William & Gordon Caldwell both of Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his wife: Evelyn, Son-in-law: Jimmy Sloan and several brothers & sisters. Visitation will be 6-8PM Monday at the Funeral Home.
