Dorothy was born in Middleton, Wisconsin on September 24, 1925 to Albert Duschak and Elizabeth M Duschak. They preceded her in death.
In 1955 she married the love of her life, Marvin E. Ward in Tacoma, Washington; he preceded her in death. Together they spent the next 57 years raising a family and living a lifetime of memories. Dorothy spent her days conducting daily operations at their company, Marvin Ward Trucking, which was based out of Tyler. Those who knew Dorothy knew they could find her at the boats in Shreveport on any given Sunday. She had a passion for the “Flaming 7’s” and the game of slots! Dorothy’s main objective in life was to take care of everyone around her. She was a caring person and wanted to make sure everyone in her family was taken care of, in all aspects. Everyone that got to spend even just a little time with Dorothy in her many joyous years of life will miss her deeply.
Survivors include her children Colleen Bensen of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; Penny Gilly of Nolensville, Tennessee; Steve Ward of Temple, Texas; and Tamie Richey of Rockwall, Texas.
