Denise Jane Rasco, née Moyer, of Tyler, TX, passed away on October 29th, 2024, at the age of 76. Denise was born on September 12th, 1948 in Plainfield, New Jersey to John and Mary Moyer, but grew up in Ohio and Texas. She graduated from Richardson High School in 1966, and then later graduated from North Texas University with a degree in Primary Education.
Denise met David while a junior at Richardson High School in 1965. They dated for almost 60 years, celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary on September 6, 2024… best friends, holding hands till separated on October 29, 2024.
Denise was a faithful, devoted wife, mother, Grandma, teacher, and friend who loved the LORD and her people dearly. She invested 23 years teaching 3rd graders at Grace Community School. She was an enthusiastic amateur paleontologist, Master Gardener, devoted student of Bible Study Fellowship, and lifelong learner. She completely loved all the people that GOD brought into her life.
Denise is survived by her husband, David; her son, Morgan; her daughter, Julie Fender and husband, Rob; her grandsons, Luke, Jadon, Colin, and Tom; her sister, Marianne O’Donnell and husband, Cory, and nephews Kevin O’Donnell and Brian O’Donnell and wife, Kate; and a great- nephew, Jack and great- niece, Josie. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, John and Mary Moyer.
Services are scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m, Saturday, November, 9, 2024 at Grace Community Church with Bob Turner and John Orbaugh officiating. Burial will take place at Bullard Memorial Cemetery. Grace Community Church is located at 3215 Old Jacksonville Hwy.
