Funeral services for Christine K. Carter, 64, of Frankston are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2019 in the chapel of Lloyd James Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur Craig officiating. Burial will be in the Cathedral of the Pines Cemetery following the service.
She passed away on May 28, 2019 in Frankston.
Christine was born on November 13, 1954 in Pasadena, to the late William A. Keepers and June (Brown) Keepers.
She graduated from Milby High School, class of 1973. She married the love of her life, Chuck, in 1986 and together they raised three sons. She worked at South Texas College of Law and then at Property Management Systems. She continued her career path with McRay Crane Company. Christine then had a very successful career with SCI (Dignity Funeral Homes) for 20 years, serving as Sales Director. She excitedly retired in 2017. Chuck and Christine fully embraced retirement at their lake house on Lake Palestine. She enjoyed spending time with her husband and grandchildren on the boat. Her passion was gardening, where she transformed her yard into a peaceful paradise.
Christine is survived by her husband of 33 years, Chuck Carter, of Frankston; her sons, Gary Ellison and wife, Christy of Spring, Greg Ellison and wife, Keri of Ben Wheeler and Trey Carter and wife, Kate of Bellville; her brother, Larry Keepers of Kemah; a loving uncle, Frank Brown of Lake Quivira, Kansas; six grandchildren: Alyssa, Breah, Bren, Adley, Ashtyn and Layton and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William A. Keepers, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Lloyd James Funeral Home in Tyler.
