Funeral services for Charles W. Shockley, 86, of Tyler are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Lloyd James Funeral Home Chapel with Neal Thurman officiating. Burial is in Resthaven Memorial Park in Jacksonville under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
Charles passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2015, in Tyler.
He was born on May 26, 1928 in Waxahachie to the late Hurley and Bertha Clara Regan Shockley. He married his sweetheart, Doris, in 1950 and they shared 53 wonderful years together until she passed away in 2003.
Charles was the owner of Precision Machine Products in Dallas from 1966 to 1990, and Precision Measurement Products in Dallas from 1975 to 1986. He retired to his home on Lake Tyler in 1993. Most important in his life were his family and his church. He was a member of the University Church of Christ.
He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Bundens and her husband Allan, of Argyle and Chrystal "Chris" McDonald, of Tyler; son, Charles Curtis Shockley and his wife Julie, of Kilgore; grandchildren, Allan Charles Bundens, Ayrie Wayne McDonald, David Curtis Shockley, Alex Charles Shockley, Regan Christine Shockley and Loren Catherine Shockley; and brother, Donald Shockley.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Earlene Hogan.
Pallbearers will be Allan Charles Bundens, David Shockley, Alex Shockley, Wayne McDonald, Sky Harris and Kenny Scruggs.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, May 15, 2015 at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
