Charles Daniel Bowden

He was born on May 17, 1952 in Gilmer, Texas to Charles and Bettie Bowden. Danny was raised in Gilmer and Corsicana and graduated from Sam Houston State University. He married Barbara Glidewell in 1984 and the couple had 2 children. He spent his career in the dairy business where he worked for more than 40 years.

In his spare time, Danny enjoyed spending time with his family, watching football, camping trips, and working on his always-growing honey-do list. His family and friends will always remember him as a doting father and grandfather and a selfless family man.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his oldest sister, Angie Stearns.

Danny is survived by his wife Barbara, son Hunter and his wife Lauren Jarvis, daughter Laurie and her husband Austin Pearson, four grandchildren: Presley (11) and Collins (4) Pearson, and Annalyn (8) and Hadley (7) Jarvis; cousin and best friend Ronnie and his wife Linda Bowden, and sisters Vicki Morehead and Teri Clakley.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:00am at Lloyd James Funeral Home, located at 1011 E. First Street, Tyler, Texas 75701. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home between 10:30am and 12:30pm.
