Megan was born on October 17, 1989 in Salem, Oregon, the first child of her loving parents Cliff and Shelly McKee. She was taken back to our Heavenly Father’s arms on February 18, 2011 in a snowmobile accident in Bozeman, Montana.
Megan spent the first part of her life in Salem but called Caldwell, Idaho home. Her family moved there when she was in first grade until they moved to Twin Falls when she was 17. She has stayed in contact with many dear friends in Caldwell through the years. She moved to Bozeman, Montana nearly two years ago to try her hand at being an independent woman. She succeeded well. She enjoyed her job at First Security Bank and made many new friends in her new home. Life was good.
Megan loved music. She played the piano and violin and loved the calming feeling of those instruments. She loved her family so very much. She loved to travel as a toddler and that love never ended. She and her family spent many happy times at the Oregon coast, Seattle, Wisconsin, Minnesota, camping in Grand Jean, and above all else—her favorite, Disneyland. Megan also loved the outdoors—camping, hunting, fishing, hiking anything she could do with Dad. One of the reasons she loved Montana so much is the outdoors and the beauty of the surroundings.
Megan was everyone’s friend—she had so many friends and loved every one of them so much. Megan loved helping others, especially children. She had a very big and soft heart. She was always excited to discuss the community service she was involved in for the bank.
She is survived by her parents; siblings Kelsey (Chris) Carney and Porter McKee; grandparents Roger McKee, Charlene Pineda, Kelly Peterson, and Joy Peterson; great-grandparents Wilford and Maxine Sparkes and Violet McKee; many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She is also survived by the dear family to whom she gave her heart 3 years ago. She was preceded in death by grandmother Rose McKee, and great-grandparents George and Irene Peterson.
Family and friends may attend a viewing on Tuesday, February 22 between 6 and 8 pm at White Mortuary, 136 4th Ave, Twin Falls. The funeral will be Wednesday, February 23 at 11:00 am with a viewing beginning at 10:00 am at the LDS 6th Ward, 667 Harrison St, Twin Falls.
