Dora Lee Burnham, 70, of Jerome passed away on Wednesday April 4, 2012 at her home in Jerome. She was born on August 27, 1941 in Overton, Nevada to Vernon Herbert Mills and Elda LaVon Boyle. She was the 8th and last child born all of whom were girls. Dora and her sweetheart Maurice Karl Burnham were married in the L.A. Temple on January 30, 1965. She worked and retired from the Tupperware Factory and was relocated to South Carolina after working at the Jerome Plant. Dora loved puzzles, knitting, plastic canvas, making earrings, traveling, reading and especially loved spending time with her sisters, her sons and her grandchildren. Dora also enjoyed going to the temple, playing 5 crowns, idiot bridge and skip bo. She was an active, faithful and lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Dora is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 2 sisters; and one grandson Michael. Dora is survived by 2 sons Kenneth (Jodee) Burnham of Jerome, Idaho and Terry (Heather) Burnham of Florence South Carolina. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren Jason, Karlee, Jake ( Ashlee), Kylee, Kodee (Chas), Mardee, Korry, Hailee, Billee and Sage; and by one great grandson Landon.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday April 6, 2012 from 6-8 p.m at Hove Robertson Funeral Chapel, 629 3rd Ave E in Jerome and at 12 p.m. on Saturday April 7, 2012 at the LDS Church located at 825 E Ave B in Jerome with funeral services to follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at the Jerome Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hove Robertson Funeral Chapel.
