Thomas L Spencer

Thomas L. Spencer, 83 of Moundville, passed away on September 10, 2021 in Tuscaloosa. A Visitation is planned for Tuesday, September 14, 2021 beginning at 11:00am, immediately followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00pm at First Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa (721 Greensboro Ave, Tuscaloosa, AL). Services will be officiated by Gil McKee and Vial Fontenot. Mr. Spencer will be laid to rest at Memory Hill Gardens, Garden of Gethsemane with Dr. Hayes Boyd officiating. Memory Chapel, a Dignity Memorial provider, is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Spencer was preceded in death by his parents Thomas L Spencer, Jr. and Annie Maureen Cunningham Spencer. He is survived by his wife Jane Hunt Spencer of Moundville; daughters: Lisa (Ron) Algiere of Hudson, FL, Mona Spencer of Moundville, Carol (David) Fuller of Northport; sister Juanita Payne of Northport; grandchildren: Trent (Anne) Caruthers of Tuscaloosa, Zachary (Heather) Fuller of Buhl, Sterling Algiere and Nickolas Algiere both of Hudson, FL, Katie (Colby) Oliver of Tuscaloosa, Madison (Jon) Weinreich of Northport, and Diana Fuller of Northport; great grandchildren: Sawyer Oliver and Weslyn Oliver both of Tuscaloosa and Bodhi Fuller of Buhl.

Trent Caruthers, Zachary Fuller, Sterling Algiere, Nikolas Algiere, Ronald Algiere and David Fuller will serve as Active Pallbearers. The family wishes to recognize the Good Samaritan Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church Tuscaloosa as Honorary Pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the donor’s charity of choice.
