Mary Helen Welch of Tuscaloosa, AL, passed away on October 2, 2022. She was 90 years old. Mary was born on April 27, 1932 in Tuscaloosa, AL to John T. Shuman and Ruby M. Townsend.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded by her husband, Carl; brother, John "Buddy" and William "Bill"; daughter, Linda.
She is survived by brother, Robert "Bob". She leaves behind son, David and Wayne; daughter, Diane; four grandsons and eight granddaughters; four great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters and one great great granddaughter.
A visitation for Mary will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Memory Chapel Funeral Home, 2200 Skyland Blvd East, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35405. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 10:00 AM at Memory Hill Gardens, 2200 Skyland Blvd E, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35405.
