Maci Alexis Faulkner was a bright, beautiful, and ambitious young lady. First and foremost, her love for the Lord was evident in all areas of her life. She was the most selfless person who would drop anything to help someone. She loved hard and made sure everyone around her knew how much she loved them. Her actions, words, and her presence in itself reflected that of Jesus Christ. Her smile and sweet spirit lit up a room as soon as she walked in. To know Maci was to love her. She was an ambitious student throughout her life. She was a high school ambassador and majorette for Tuscaloosa County High School where she was an honor graduate in 2018. Most recently, she was a senior at the University of Alabama where she was majoring in mechanical engineering and minoring in aerospace. She was dedicated to her studies and took pride in making the best grades possible. She constantly looked for opportunities to learn and grow in her field. One of her last steps toward graduation was accepting an internship at Southern Carbide Technologies where she got to work for just three short days. Outside of school, Maci enjoyed spending every moment she could with Carson, her precious boyfriend of five years. She also took pride in being an aunt to Jace and Joelle and spending quality time with her many cousins and other extended family. One of Maci’s favorite things to do was putting her SeaDoo in the water with her dad and going for rides on the lake. Maci and her dad had a special bond. They spent many hours together working in his shop, riding his motorcycle, cutting grass together, and even cutting his hair when he needed a trim. Maci and her mom spent nights giggling in bed over funny videos on her phone, playing with her two dogs, Marlowe and Chloe, and talking for hours while folding laundry. Maci and her sisters were inseparable. They took many runs to Taco Casa, looked for any chance to get on the lake, and never turned down and opportunity to ride the four wheelers. Maci was a member of Five Points Baptist Church where she was actively involved in the student and college ministry. She had a servant’s heart and volunteered on countless mission trips and never hesitated to help anyone in need. She was bold in her faith and was a witness to everyone she came in contact with. Maci will be forever remembered by friends, family, classmates, and church family. Although she is already dearly missed, we rejoice as she is dancing at the feet of our Lord and Savior. Maci was given the nickname “sweetie” by her dad the day she was born and it suited her perfectly. We miss her endlessly, but Heaven is a million times “sweeter” with her there! We long for the glorious day when we are reunited with her in heaven.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Johnson, Tyler Jameson, Gabe Sanford, Colton Tunnell, Jack Johnson, Bryan Spencer, Zac Kelley and Tyler Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers are Christopher Spencer, Carson Jones, and Carter Jones.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Maci’s memory to the Five Points Baptist Church Missions Ministries.
