Harold Nelson Hubbard Sr.

Service will be Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Heritage Chapel with the Reverend Larry Bonner officiating and Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, A Dignity Memorial Provider directing. Visitation will be from 1-2 pm at Heritage Chapel. Burial will follow in Duncanville Community Cemetery.

Nelson is survived by His Wife, Appy Jo Hubbard, Five Sons, Harold Nelson Hubbard, Jr. (Shirley), Jeff Hubbard (Donna),Richard Hubbard (Eileen), Robert Hubbard, Marty Hubbard (Carlie), One Daughter, Jan Boothe (Don), Grandchildren, Kandie Brewer, Joseph Boothe II, Jeff Hubbard Jr., Johnathan Boothe, Jessica Hubbard, Jana Hubbard, Austin Hubbard, Eric Hubbard, Bailey Hubbard, Trinity Hubbard, and Rhett Hubbard, and sixteen Great-Grandchildren.

Nelson was a retired coal miner who resided in Vance, AL with his wife. He loved planting vegetation in his garden and watching it grow. He enjoyed going to the races with his son Jeff in his later years. He loved angel food cake that Shirley, his daughter-in-law cooked him often.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Boothe, Jonathan Boothe, Little Jeff Hubbard, Baily Hubbard, Ricky Brewer, and Dewight Parker.

Honorary Pallbearers are Hospice of West Al., Dr. Ross Vaughn, His Special Son, Robert Hubbard, His Special Caregiver, Donna Hubbard who lovingly cared for him in his last final days of his life.
