…I’m going to miss you Uncle Eurie! I remember when you started coming down during Covid! Sitting on the back of Uncle John’s house! Tyrese and I were out there with you, shooting a BB Gun! I had the gun and you were waaayyyy in the back sitting in your lawn chair smoking a cigar! Telling me I needed to move my aim over because I was going to miss it! I didn’t listen and you were right lol!! It was like when you started to come down, the whole family followed...  
Sometimes when mama and I used to come to Tuscaloosa, we’ll stop by! She told you about my fire obsession. And you were like “I can’t have my baby out here burning up stuff”. Yet you gave me a lighter haha! The next time we came back you said “Aye Pig there’s a bag on the kitchen table for you, bring it out here.” When I looked in the bag I was like Uncle Eurie what I’m supposed to do with a cookie pan and candles!!! You told me to make a Candle Tree. You explained what it was and how Tyger told you about it! That was your way of telling me to watch the candles burn instead of paper. Good times.

…you were an exemplary uncle and I appreciated you. To Nay, Yana, and Amber my prayers are with all of you. XOXO

My deepest sympathy to the family.  Eurie was my buddy !  We meet 20 years ago at TVAMC , and remain friends throughout the years . He was a good listener, smart always teaching me something related to computers!!! His  generosity will never be forgotten !!   Rest well my friend ...

Daddy.. Its crazy how life works.  We started this thing together, you and me at 3 months old. Your last breath was with me right there with you, holding your hand.  Anyone who knows my story knows how heart-wrenching this is. 
You lived your life giving to others whenever you could. Now you can rest peacefully. You always made sure to tell me how proud of me you were. I hope I did you proud for your final salute.


I have some many of my brother but I guess my best memories are the time shared each opinion and me staying with him most of the time I came home. We would sit out back or front smoke cigars in laugh and drink a beer and just enjoy each other company and now I'm going to miss all of that dearly. And talking on the phone once a week or ever two weeks just to see how each other are doing. R I P PEACE BROTHER.

The Bond We Had Was Kinda Love / Hate Relationship But Funny Because You Was Always Super Hard On Me , But I Know It Was Because You Knew My Potential Or Maybe You Saw Some of Your Ways In Me !  We Called Each Others “Big Dummy” 🤣 we Were Both So Smart ! We Became Even Closer After I Purchased My Home Anything You Felt Like You Wanted Me To Have In My House You Got & Gave Me A Certain Time Span To Come Get It Oh You Were Very Discrete lol …. He Would Randomly Call && Tell How Proud Of Me && The Things I Was Doing …. You Always Cooked Big Portions Of Food && You Knew Me Your Niece Don’t Cook So You Always Would Call Me or Text Me Periodically To Come Get Some Food && everybody Knew My Favorite Was Your cabbage  Greens !! I’ll Forever Be Grateful For You Unc  I’m Going To Miss Them Calls && Text who’s Gone Cook For Me Now ! …. If You Could Help In Any Ways You Would !!!  Lastly I Tried To Get Into The Cigar Game With Ya But They Were Always Too Too Strong For Me && No Matter What Kinda I Told You I Wanted You Would Make It Your Business & Try To Get For Me The Next Time I Would Be Over !

Eurie and I was close friends. I visited him a lot and even got him to join the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) local Chapter 1 here in Tuscaloosa, AL.  I have been knowing Eurie for over 14 years and he was the perfect gentlemen.  I can still see him at the grill cooking or sitting in the garage, smoking his cigars and watching his favorite sports on television. He would call and check on me and I would call and check on him.  He will definitely be missed but not forgotten. My message for the family...Those we love remain with us, for love itself lives on and cherished memories never fade, because a loved one's gone. Those we love can never be more than a thought apart. For as long as there is memories, they'll live on in the heart.

Eurie was a dear friend to me during my years at Tuscaloosa VA. He was awesome with computers and tech questions. He was very kind to me and I thought the world of him. I’m so very very sorry. I know he is rejoicing around the throne.

Garner (Tuscaloosa, AL), Charlie Garner, Jr. (Aliceville, AL), Otis Ray Garner (Aliceville, AL), Lester Stevenson Garner (Aliceville, AL) and Frankie Orlando Garner (Aliceville, AL) and granddaughter, Hayden Noelle Barnes.
