Eugene Cochrane

Eugene ""Sonny"" Cochrane, age 76, of Lincoln, Ala., died October 15, 2015, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, October 18, 2015, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Curtis Scott Holman and Ken Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Cochrane (McCray).Survivors include his daughter, Wendy Holman (Curtis B.); son, Joseph Eugene Cochrane (Brandy); and grandchildren, Curtis Scott Holman (Crystal), Karmen Holman and Kaitlyn Holman.Sonny was born in Aliceville, Alabama. He was a hardworking, loving and married man for 40 years. He was also a wonderful grandfather.He served in the United States Army. Sonny enjoyed building, carpentry, owned his own construction business and retired in 1990.Sonny accepted Jesus as his Savior in 1992. He would minister to VA patients and had a heart of compassion for the homeless.He was a member of Eternal Faith Church. Sonny is loved and will be missed.Pallbearers will be Shane Holman, Bobby Holman, TJ Sullivan, Cody Sullivan, Lane Wells, Cody Day, Billy Young and Josh Sexton.Honorary pallbearers are Alabama Hospice Care and Dr. Stanley Jett.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Alabama Hospice Care.
