TUSCALOOSA – Edna L. Davis, age 93, of Tuscaloosa, died July 4, 2016, at her daughter's home. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Steve Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be today, July 6, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James Howard Davis; brothers, Wyman Lawson, Chester Lawson and Walter B. Lawson; and sisters-in-law, Cleo and Bernice Lawson. Survivors include her daughters, Janice Koski of Pelham, Ala. and Kathy Crowder (Rick) of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; son, Ken Davis (Lois) of Shelby, Ala.; grandchildren, Joseph Allen II (Chassity Channell), Jennifer Scruggs (Steve), Kevin Davis (Marie), John Eric Davis (Ashleigh), Stacey Koski (Maria) and Deanna Guthrie (Bob); step granddaughters, Vanessa Smith (Bernard) and JoAnna Weems; nine great-grandchildren; one special great-grandson, Keith Weems; and three great-great-grandchildren. Edna loved being with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with the Sunlighters when she could go. Her hobby was making quilts with her husband, Howard. She was a Charter member of Valley View Baptist Church. She loved her Sunday School class. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Stacey Koski, Kevin Davis, Joseph Allen II, Steven Scruggs, John Eric Davis and Keith Weems.Honorary pallbearers are Sunlighters of Valley View Baptist Church, Pat James, Linda Davis, Don Kyzer, Steve Wilson, Joe and Jerilyn Evans, Dr. John Dubay, JoAnn Miller and Gene Lawson. The family would like to give a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice, Dr. Jennifer Burdette and Collene, Leigh, Tasha and Damian Rose.
