Donna Ballenger McCrory

Donna Ballenger McCrory, age 57, of Cottondale, died Nov. 9, 2012, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Webb and Bro. Olin Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Telisa Renae Ballenger; her grandfather, Claude Gilreath; and her uncle, Bud Gilreath.

Survivors include her husband, George McCrory; her sons, Rodney Ballenger (Beverly) and Roy Ballenger (Dana); her stepdaughters, Nancy McCrory and Dana Bridges (Keith); her stepson, Sammy McCrory (Paige); her parents, Betty and Earl Wilder; her sisters, Linda Driver Steel, Janice Sexton, and Danni Gayle Beams; her brothers, Gary Sexton and Richard Sexton; and her grandchildren, Corey Ballenger, Jennifer Ballenger, Julie Ballenger, Easten Ballenger, Tristen Ballenger, Gracen Bridges, Hasten Bridges, Dillon Duncan, and Cassidy Ballenger.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and a blessing to all who knew her. She was a member of Clements Road Baptist Church and a devoted Christian. She will be greatly missed.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Stines, Ronnie Smith, Ronnie Hall, Andy Pearson, Gerald McCrory, and James McCrory.

Honorary pallbearers are Olin and Mary Lou Lewis, Joe and Rose Poist, Jenny Poist, Sandy Davis, Hospice of West Alabama, and DCH Cancer Center.
