Services will be held June 27, 2023 at Northport Church of God at 11am, visitation will be from 9am to 11am at the church, with Pastor Greg Strickland, Pastor Rick Bradley, Pastor Brad Channell and Pastor David Kelly. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Gardens.
Derrill is Preceded in death by his parents, Breeland Booth and Irene Booth.
Derrill is survived by his wife-Deborah Jo Booth, Daughter- Kimberly D. Kimberly, Son- Joshua Derrill Booth (Brittany), Brother- Ronald Dean Booth (Patty) sister- Pamela Booth Aycock, Grandchildren- Taylor Sanford (Wes), Kairi Booth, Isaiah Byrd. Great Grandchild- Grey Sanford. and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers- Billy Doss, Ronnie Turner, Curtis Shirley, Tim Brown, James O'hanlon and Brian Dickerson.

Derrill was on the Coker city council from 2000-2004 and became Mayor of Coker from 2004-2008. Derrill was also Deputy Chief Volunteer Firefighter, he also served on the Romulus fire department for more than 13 years and also assisted in running the family business for more than 40 years. Derrill received many and various awards for community service to include Coker Fireman of the year, Tuscaloosa Fire protection Presidential Association award and the Exchange Club Firefighter of the year award.Derrill made generous contributions to all 21 volunteer Fire Departments in Tuscaloosa County and to the Tuscaloosa County Fire Protection Association to be used for scholarships. Derrill was a long time member and officer of the Tuscaloosa County Fire Protection Association often overcoming significant challenges to attend meetings.
The services to the citizens of Tuscaloosa County and accomplishments of Derrill B. Booth are in all ways commendable.
