Ninous Beitashour

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ninous Beitashour, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, entrepreneur, and lifelong advocate for the Assyrian community. Ninous entered into rest peacefully on December 10, 2024, in San Francisco, California, at the age of 79.

Born in Hamadan, Iran, to Babajan and Rosa Beitashour (both of whom preceded him in death), Ninous made his mark on the world through his unwavering dedication to his family, his work, and the Assyrian people. He emigrated to the United States in 1963, eventually living in the same home in San Francisco from 1978 until his passing. He built a successful career as a licensed real estate broker and the CEO and Founder of Century Properties, serving the Greater San Francisco Bay Area for over 45 years. His expertise spanned across commercial, residential, multifamily, land sales, and development.

Ninous was a proud graduate of San Francisco State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering in 1971. But beyond his professional achievements, it was his deep connection to his Assyrian roots that defined his life. A lifelong global ambassador for Assyrians, Ninous was passionately involved in advocating for the rights of his people and preserving the history of the Assyrian culture. He was an active member of the Assyrian Orthodox Church of the East, the Assyrian Universal Alliance, and the Assyrian United Organization of California. His life outside of work was dedicated to returning to Assyrians their rightful homeland.

In his personal life, Ninous was a loving and devoted husband to his wife of 48 years, Magdalena Beitashour. He was also a proud father to Tatiana, Natalie, and Alexander, and a cherished grandfather to Charlie, Brady, Elle, and Alexa. His family was his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Ninous loved playing and watching soccer, dancing to Assyrian and Persian music, and, most of all, telling stories about the rich history of the Assyrian people. He had an infectious sense of humor and a gift for making others laugh. But it was in the kitchen where he truly shined, cooking meals that were an expression of love for his family. His cooking was his language of love, a way to nourish both body and soul.

Ninous leaves behind a legacy of warmth, passion, and dedication—both to his family and to the cause of his people. His kindness, his laughter, and his strength will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Ninous was preceded in death by his parents, Rosa and Babajan, and his brothers, Edward and William. He is survived by his wife Magdalena, daughters Tatiana and Natalie, son Alexander, grandchildren Charlie, Brady, Elle, and Alexa, and his sister Angel Kaldani. He is also survived by countless extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

A funeral service will be held at the Assyrian Orthodox Church of the East in Turlock on Friday, December 20, 2024. For further details, please contact the family.
