Mr. Freitas was a resident of Half Moon Bay for fifty-two years and worked for the city of Half Moon Bay. He was married to Gloria Melo Freitas for 47 years, a father to his only daughter Rosemary Freitas Delashaw, and a proud Avô to his grandson Christopher Anthony Freitas Delashaw.
Antonio loved playing the piano and guitar. He also enjoyed gardening and watching his beloved Benfica Soccer Team play.
He was a member of I.D.E.S.. Portuguese Cultural Center, Brotherhood of Saint Anthony and Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church.
Mr. Freitas is survived by his daughter; Rosemary Freitas Delashaw (Scott) and his grandson; Christopher Anthony Freitas Delashaw.
Antonio is preceded in death by his wife Gloria Melo Freitas, his father Antonio Freitas, his mother Rosa Alves Freitas and his brother José Alberto Freitas.
A Visitation for Mr. Freitas will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Our Lady of the Pillar, 400 Church St, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019.
Recitation of the Rosary will occur Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 6:00 PM at Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church, 400 Church St, Half Moon Bay, California 94019.
Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church, 400 Church St, Half Moon Bay, California 94019.
Committal Service will occur Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Skylawn Memorial Park, CA-35 Skyline Blvd at Highway 92, San Mateo, California 94402.
Serving, as pallbearers are José Nunes, David Rosa, José Luis Freitas, Tony Nunes, Luis Nunes and José Manuel Sousa.
